Today is the tragic date marking 75 years since the beginning of the deportation of the Chechens and Ingush to Kazakhstan. From February 23rd to March 7th, 1944, by Stalin's decision, the NKVD forcibly evicted over half a million people from their homes. And the Chechen-Ingush SSR was liquidated.
